David Whitaker (Business Owner and Mechanic)
I started in the motorcycle trade at the age of 16, working for a local motorcycle engineer, then progressed on to a Honda/ Yamaha primary dealer at 18 years old. Here I completed various Honda and Yamaha training courses.
I also had a big interest in motorcycle racing, competing in the 125cc British Championship in 1993/4. I also won the ACU Star Championship 125cc and Auto 66 club man's cup 125cc in 2001. I was also a mechanic at the Isle of Man TT races for a kiwi rider in 1996, 1998 and 1999. The rider got a replica in the record books in every solo race as we had a bike for each class.
I have now been in the motorcycle trade 38 years after taking over the same dealership I started all those years ago.
We pride ourselves in doing a good job and our prices are fair. We have an excellent customer base with many people coming to me for years.
We have all the latest diagnostic equipment and provide a dyno service too.
